It is with extreme sadness that we have to share the news of the passing of Club President Chris Marshall.
Chris Marshall(Marsh) first joined Eccleshall Cricket Club in 1972 and has served the club with distinction in a variety of roles ranging from player to chairman. His name can be found several times on the batting honours board.
Chris has led much of the development of the club including the building of the current pavilion during his time as chairman.
From managing the facilities to helping out with ground management or schooling juniors in the nets he was a presence throughout the club.
Passionate about the club and its place in our thriving community, Chris dedicated years to the progression of ECC. ECC was down the pecking order of loves in his life behind his wife Coral, two daughters and three granddaughters and grandson. His other passions included Rugby, Golf and visiting family in NZ.
Chris was Mr Eccleshall Cricket Club having been a junior and senior player, Committee Member, Treasurer and Chairman and most recently President. He will be greatly missed by the Club and all its members
His funeral arrangements will be published when confirmed.
At this time all our thoughts are with Coral, Becky, Sarah and family.
